Italy Day 2

Breakfast: Although I am 19, I still love any excuse to drink milk like a baby. So when I was given cereal this morning as an option, I HAD to have it!!
Breakfast continued: I don’t know how I have never come across it before, but rectangular bacon is the BEST invention ever!! I always hate uneven layering of back bacon in England but the Italians have come up with the perfect solution; 😍 also I am not normally a fan of gluten free sliced bread because it is often quite sweet. However, this bread is the best I have had. (Really need to find out the brand before I leave)
Lunch: What an amazing find this restaurant was! I found it through Trip Advisor; family run, 20 minutes from our hotel, 30 minutes away from the Abbey we were looking around before lunch, in a beautiful setting AND 100% gluten free!!!!!!! With the most extensive menu(s) I have ever seen, it took me so long to decide what to eat. In the end it had to be a calzone because when and where else can you get a gluten free calzone!? It was absolutely ‘delizioso’👌🏼 the owners were lovely so we are definitely going to be going back for dinner one day before we go home 😍. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who is gluten free visiting Italy, because although pizza may be a staple here, this was the first gluten free one we have found (probably because of contamination issues) but that is no excuse to leave Italy without having the local staple. 🍕
Dinner: We were back at the hotel for dinner so we could get back in time for a cool off in the pool. Although it seemed a bit of a downer after my amazing lunch, my pasta pomodoro was still better than most gluten free pasta dishes in English restaurants 🍅
I just had to add in this photo of one of the views today. If you haven’t been to Italy it is definitely worth it!!
